In Pakistan, a few memes are going viral. One thing unique about them: The memes have photos of Hindu Gods.
Muhammed Ali Jinnah said "you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed – that has nothing to do with the business of the state.”
However, the reality for religious minorities in Pakistan today is far from ideal, with instances of forced conversions, discrimination, and violence being reported. This is a complex and deeply concerning issue that demands attention and action. What does this tell about the place of Hindus and minorities in Pakistani society?
