The power couple of DW5. I always had a strong feeling that Cao Pi could clear this stage, and unsurprisingly, it only took me 3 tries to get it done. Zhen Ji, on the other hand... I was extremely inspired by dw5chaosmodeguide's attempt    • Zhen Ji: DW5 XL Chaos Mode: Mt Qi   , and tried my best to use Zhen Ji like he did. But because I didn't want to token-chain with Zhen Ji's awful 4th weapon, I tried to replicate the same stage-clearing method as my 4th promotion test (with Zhang Fei & Pang Tong) of killing of Zhang Hu and Guo Hai first before killing Xiahou Ba, to clear the stage of every lieutenant officers except Sima Zhao and Sima Shi.

Cao Pi: He's a jack of all trades and master of none. In terms of tier list placement, you can consider him to strictly be a worse version of Zuo Ci or Zhao Yun. He has a very safe square string, but a massive pre-charge delay before his most useful charge attack C5, so playing him outside of Rage typically involves gaining distance from a crowd first, pop a C1, and THEN do C5.
When in Rage though, his C4 is safe enough on it's own and is great for both filling and freezing. Cao Pi can be very safe, but compared to high-tier characters, he's very slow. Like Nu Wa, I'll place him at the bottom of high-tier solely for his awesome 4th weapon and his ability to token-chain.

Zhen Ji: After the phenomenal success of Meng Huo and Pang Tong in Mt. Qi, both of whom have a very similar musou to her, I had hoped that Zhen Ji could also clear this stage like they did.
Meng Huo has the ability to fill musou at will in any crowd sizes, and doesn't require red health to be safe, so he's objectively better than Pang Tong and Zhen Ji. Next, let's discuss Pang Tong: While he's an extremely slow filler outside of red health, once in red health he's much safer than Zhen Ji and potentially even safer than Meng Huo, with his C1 filling and JC escape method. When waiting for his musou to fill, he can also partially fill with his first square attack, making him multiples more effective than Zhen Ji at red health.
That leaves Zhen Ji as the worst character among the three, with no effective charge attack to control a crowd, and no choice but to get in red health and run around waiting for it to fill, until she can defeat an officer. Absolutely nothing has changed with her placement, still upper end of mid tier.
