I'm not going to lie...microcurrent devices aren't my thing.

There's very little evidence behind the use of microcurrent for anti-ageing, skin tightening and toning and collagen production, and yet it continues to be a favourite of A-listers like Jennifer Aniston...but why?

Microcurrent uses tiny electrical currents to (supposedly) stimulate ATP - your cell's power molecules, and also the production of collagen and elastin. In this video I explore and discuss the ACTUAL evidence behind microcurrent - spoiler alert...there's not much. The evidence is either based on animal models, alternative uses for microcurrent vs it's use in the skin for aesthetic purposes, or they're small case studies or poorly designed small-scale trials.
