This recipe video will show you how to make Beef Noodle Soup. This recipe is similar to Vietnamese Pho Noodle Soup. The difference is that in Cambodian, the recipe is called kathew and beef noodle soup has beef bones and garlic in it.

Besides that everything else is pretty much the same. The sauces and veggie toppings used are also the same. Most people know beef noodle soup as pho, so this recipe will also teach you how to make pho if you used beef brisket instead of beef bones. It is a very popular khmer food recipe.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup chicken bouillon,
1/2 cup sugar,
Teaspoon salt,
1/2 fish sauce,
5 lbs. of neck bones ( you can put 3lbs for small families or up to 10lbs for a bigger family.
2 packages of meatballs ( or 1 package for a small family,
1 package of preserved radish,

1. Boil the bones for 2 hours,
2. Skim out the dirty water,
3. Add seasonings, meatballs and carrots, and the sweet preserved radish (radish is for clear broth),
4. Boil until meat soft,
5. Chop 3 bulbs of garlic,
6. Use 2/3 cup oil to fry garlic until golden brown keep stir don't let it burn,
7. Boil the water,
8. Chop all the veggies to garnish,
9. Now noodles are ready to serve!
