Florida, already full of terrifying animals and critters, is now battling massive invasive snails. African land snails were first detected in the state in 2011. They can grow to be the size of a human hand. Just recently, they were detected in Pasco County and the area was quickly quarantined. University of Florida professor and nuisance wildlife expert Dr. William Kern told Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall why the mollusks can be so harmful.
