ERISED – Improvisation 16th and 32nd Note Chops (Periphery) Advanced Drum Lesson by Nick Bukey

In this lesson, I break down an improvised section from the song Erised from Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal. I break the improvisation down into 3 phrases and slow each phrases down to make it easy to see what is being played. The improvisation is based on similar ideas that are used in the original recording but use different chops with different sticking. 4. Breaking It Down – Step 2 – Phrases 2 + 3 @ 55 BPM
5. Putting It Together – Step 3 – Combining Phrases 2 + 3 (Super Slow)
6. Putting It Together – Step 4 – Combining Phrases 2 + 3 @ 55 BPM
7. Putting It Together – Step 5 – Combining Phrases 1-3 @ 65 BPM
8. Speeding It Up – Phrases 1-3 @ 80 BPM
9. The Finished Product @ 95 BPM
