Keyboard Concerto in D, Op. 10: II. Adagio - by Samuel M. Ricke

During my time in undergrad school, I wanted to take a crack at imitating the baroque concerto style, and so I attempted to write a keyboard concerto. While the first movement was fairly lackluster, and as of the date I publish this, the third is incomplete, this movement is what I consider up to now, one of my best works. It was written after my days at university while I was feeling somewhat lonely and melancholic, and I think that comes out in the music. While I initially intended this to be written for a harpsichord (cembalo), I do rather like it with a piano instead, which is how I rendered this present video here. Anyway, this music is sort of a piece of my heart, if you will, and I hope that the listener is pleased.
