In Edmond, Oklahoma, Police have arrested 51-year-old Pratul Kumar Agarwal. According to Edmond Police, detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Agarwal at his home in Oklahoma City.

He is accused of soliciting minors online for lewd photographs and attempting to arrange in-person meetings. Agarwal was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

He is facing two counts of Lewd Acts with Child Under 16, one count of Soliciting Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and one count of Violation of the Computer Crimes Act. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities at 405-359-4639.

According to his LinkedIn page, Agarwal was the Associate Vice President of Research of Computing and Data at Oklahoma State University. The page indicates that he has been with the University since October 2019.

He also previously worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee, according to his LinkedIn page.

Agarwal's profile has since been removed from the Oklahoma State University website.
