Remembering Tito Jackson Legendary Jackson 5 Member Passes Away at 70 A Life of Music & Legacy

Tito Jackson, a beloved member of the legendary Jackson family and original member of The Jackson 5, passed away on Sunday, September 15, at the age of 70. He experienced a medical emergency while driving through Gallup, New Mexico, and despite being rushed to a local hospital, he tragically succumbed to what is believed to have been a heart attack.

Tito remained active and passionate about his work well into his 70s, continuing to tour with his brothers. In an August interview with Fox 5 San Diego, he shared, "I still enjoy it. The travel, the performances—it's all great."

Tito is survived by his three sons, Taj, TJ, and Taryll. He was predeceased by his ex-wife Dee-Dee Martes, his father Joe Jackson, and his brother Michael Jackson. His legacy will live on through his music and the lives he touched.
