State of the Capital Region 2023: Housing Market Whiplash

Описание к видео State of the Capital Region 2023: Housing Market Whiplash

The 2023 edition of the annual State of the Capital Region report focuses on developments in mortgage markets in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The past 15 years from the Great Recession through the COVID-19 pandemic saw considerable turmoil in both housing markets and mortgage markets. As the region resets its priorities—and work arrangements—policymakers and private-sector actors alike are making consequential decisions about the region’s future in a context of significant uncertainty.

AEI’s Stan Veuger welcomes Deputy Assistant Secretary Brian McCabe of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and a panel of experts for a discussion about the recent past, present, and future of the DC region’s real estate markets.
