Greenhill Junction - Creating a realistic river scene - Video 66

Описание к видео Greenhill Junction - Creating a realistic river scene - Video 66

This has been my project over the winter, and my biggest modelling challenge to date, creating the river scene that connects the two sides of the layout.

I had to work around previous mistakes, in that my access was restricted due to being unable to remove the two low bridges, and work to make the farm scene flow into the river scene.

I'll also show you how I used toilet paper to create a flowing effect in the water as I did not want just a big patch of shiny varnish or resin. That was my biggest challenge, creating as realistic looking flowing water as I could.

As usual I've built this using readily available cheap materials to achieve a realistic and very pleasing to the eye scene. This whole project cost me £1.50 for half a bottle of gloss varnish as everything else was created from supplies I've gathered over the years of building this layout, but none of which I would consider as expensive.

Lastly there is a look at my new loco, the Hornby A4 "Union of South Africa" which I picked up second hand at a great price.

Thanks for watching. Please like and share the video, subscribe to keep up to date with the layout and leave any comments you have.
