Destiny 2 - All 5 Golden Chest Locations (Regional Chests) on Mercury. Each Golden Chest gives 3 Mercury Tokens. That's 15 Mercury Tokens for all 5 Gold Chests.

The Mercury Tokens can be given to the faction vendor "Brother Vance" in Mercury, Lighthouse region. The Mercury Tokens will increase the reputation with Brother Vance. Each reputation level takes 20 Mercury Tokens and rewards you with one random purple engram from the vendor's pool of items. The engram contains up to two purple items.
In other words: every 20 Mercury Tokens gives you one engram with 1-2 legendary (purple) gear pieces.

This is a very quick and easy way to get good gear, especially to increase the power level after hitting level 25. It only takes around 15 minutes to collect all 5 chests when following this video guide. Some of the chests can instantly give you a purple gear piece or a shader (a bit random).
