"Heliopolis" by MindCap & More

Heliopolis is a fundamentally interesting level, limiting itself by only allowing for its gameplay to be made on 0.5x speed and, originally, on 60 FPS. The gameplay for this level was also made by unusual choices of creators such as UFWM, Icedcave and Stormfly, each of whom had a different gamemode which they added their own creative flare to. The decoration at the beginning is made by StarkyTheSalad and has a very gloomy stylised feel to it, almost like a sandstorm, with original effects and structuring. It has a very similar vibe to lotus flower - another one of my favourite levels. In the later stages of the level it modernises, moving into the present day, and takes on a different more modern style as well, even looking to the future and the 'New Capital' of Egypt at the end.

Personally this second style (after the ball and spider) does not resonate with me as much as the first half or so of the level, but it's still incredibly well done and something much better than average. This is the only thing keeping it from being a near perfect level in my opinion. This level is also very, very hard and I wish the best of luck to the verifier, Pablohh.
