Heart of Florissant got to experience a chance to visit FOUR amazing local St. Louis breweries. These amazing tours are hosted by BrewHop STL and are a must for a beer enthusiast. During each tour, you get to visit 4 different breweries. The breweries vary each week and can sell out fast, so make sure to check it out on Facebook or their website https://www.brewhopstl.com/

During the tours, you can sample a wide selection of beers, chat with fellow beer lovers, get a behind-the-scenes tour, and then once you have made up your mind, get a full pour of one of their beers. (Not all breweries offer behind-the-scenes tour and sampling... bummer I know, but when they do offer it, it's worth it!)

This particular tour was one we had really wanted to get in on! It featured our very own local Florissant Narrow Gauge Brewing Company, nestled inside local foodie favorite Cugino's. Narrow Gauge has quickly grown in variety and following. You can always find the perfect beer to match your meal. Narrow Gauge is currently in their 2nd year.

Next, we headed over to another local Flo/Ferg favorite, Ferguson Brewing Company. Here we got a full brewery tour. Our tour was led by the head brewmaster Rob Abell, who showed us the process from simple ingredients thru all of its stages. Don't forget to tap the Gorilla (by the front door) on the head, a tradition to pay homage to our local Stl Zoo.

Our 3rd location was at Six Mile Bridge Beer. Located in Maryland Heights, this brewery was the dream of Ryan Sherring who brought his traveled beer pallet to St. Louis. Ryan took us back and gave our group a deeper look into the brewing process and the inspiration behind many of the wild flavors offered by Six Mile Bridge.

Our last stop was at O'Fallon Brewery, the largest brewery of the tour. Here we got to see where 18 years of growth can get a good local brewery. You are able to take a glimpse of the huge operation and grab some items in their souvenir shop.
