The Batman Arkhamverse Just Got Great News!

It’s been challenging for DC fans recently, especially in the gaming world. While Marvel consistently releases new games, DC has been slower to deliver. The Wonder Woman game, announced in 2021, still hasn't received a major update, and rumors suggest development issues.

However, WB Games has surprised us with a new Batman game announcement: Arkham Shadows. Although initially, excitement dwindled when it was revealed to be exclusive to the Meta Quest 3, recent updates have reignited our enthusiasm. Camouflaj, the studio behind Iron Man VR, is developing Arkham Shadows and has brought in Arkham veterans Bill Green and Sophie Leal-Bolea to ensure the free-flow combat system fans love is perfectly captured in VR.

Arkham Shadows is set in the Arkhamverse, between Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum. Roger Craig Smith is returning to voice Batman, following the tragic passing of Kevin Conroy. The game’s visuals are stunning, featuring real-time shadows in VR.

The main antagonist is Ratking, with appearances from Harley Quinn and Scarecrow. While gameplay wasn’t shown at Summer Game Fest, a reveal is planned for Gamescom Opening Night Live in August. Get excited for this new chapter in the Arkham series!
