SAD NEWS. Again. | And a horsey trip to my former student's barn in New England

I've had to leave a lot of barns during my two and a half years half leasing horses. It seems that when you half lease on the lower end of the financial scale, it's not uncommon to get the backburner horses, or the horses with underlying medical issues.

That's not to say that these horses aren't wonderful and don't deserve attention, or that you can't learn from them.

But it can mean you wind up saying a lot of goodbyes.
