This was the corner store of the old NH village back in the early 1800s we are metal detecting today. As well it is old colonial ground so the history goes back into the 1700s. This is a big cellar hole right on the road so there is a mix of stuff buried in the ground. We dug a lot of old metal buttons right around the foundation which is great. Buttons are common artifacts from the 1700s and 1800s but we love them. As well a thimble, spoons, lantern parts and other item all dug up. Metal detecting old places is the best thing in New England. You can fins a lot of different and old stuff and things.
