Where are the open source self-driving automate systems?

Modern self-driving vehicles work using visual cameras connected to on-board processing connected into the primary drivetrain. Modern vehicle electronics were continuously integrated since the mid-1990s.

This is not the Space Station— so where are the goods?

To let the owner of a 2012 Ford F150 drill seventeen holes into its chassis to wire up their reliable junker in 2027 with self-calibrating video to take control.

Why are we not living in the cornucopia of independent hot rod garages we were collectively promised throughout the great decades of America?

I can re-declare Starlight as a self-driving car company today to raise millions of dollars to build this needed technology.

Think about it.

Volvo. Subaru. Toyota.

How many foreign supply chains would beg for that kind of power continued?
