hey all! today we're have a look at how to play the very cool riff to the classic Breadfan by 70's Welsh power trio Budgie on Awesome riff of the day.

as an aside, when I mention in the video that this riff goes on about twenty times at the beginning, yet my performance doesn't do any such thing, know that I had to use a Metallica backing track which has a much shorter opening that the budgie original. there is no budgie backing track that I could find.

I actually exaggerated a little bit as well. it's actually repeated 12 times.

gonna put together a full tutorial for this one in the coming days, but I wanted to feature this riff under this format first, so I could talk a bit more about this very influential seventies group a bit more in depth.
