Bread sold at Giant Eagle stores in Ohio is being recalled after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that glass fragments were found on top of loaves.

The FDA reports that the bread came from Maryland-based Upper Crust Bakery and was sold in six states, including Ohio.

In an email to 3News, a Giant Eagle spokesperson says the potentially impacted product was sold in all Ohio Giant Eagle and Market District bakeries under the label “Giant Eagle Multigrain Sourdough” or “Market District Multigrain Sourdough” between April 7 and April 12.

In its recall notice, Giant Eagle states that there is the "potential presence of glass fragments in the sunflower seeds."
