Instructions from the documentation:

Impell is a puzzle game with a fairly simple aim. The aim for each level is to get the required number of movable blocks onto the `X' tiles. This is done by moving the purple character about the screen with the Joystick. The movable blocks (light blue and white) can be pushed from behind. White (ice) blocks will keep moving until they hit a wall, or other obstacle. Teleporter tiles are the tiles with the light blue circles on them. These will transport the purple character to another teleporter tile on the screen. Pushing a block onto a teleporter square will result in its destruction. Some titles are missing, these are holes. Pushing a block onto these tiles will fill up the hole, so the purple character can walk across.
