1. Hand Protection: Cut, Impact & Puncture Resistance
Jake explains the differences between leather, impact-resistant, and cut-resistant gloves—and why selecting the right glove for the job is critical.
• Cut resistance: Measured on a 1–9 scale, based on how much force a razor blade needs to cut through material.
• Impact resistance: Rated 1–3, determined by how much energy a glove dissipates when struck.
• Puncture resistance: Measures how much force is required to penetrate the glove (industrial punctures, fine punctures, splinters, etc.).
Work with your safety team to choose PPE that matches your on-site hazards.

2. Hearing Protection: How to Properly Fit Earplugs

Roll the earplug tightly.
Reach behind the ear with the opposite hand.

If you cannot see the earplug from the front, it’s correctly fitted.
