Meet Dan Hawkins

A Fremantle-born man who spent 22 years behind bars from a 12-year-old boy to a hardened criminal. A safe-cracker, ram-raider, and armed robber who, after being stabbed in a prison fight, turned his life over to Jesus.
Today, he’s a Specialist Workplace Safety Trainer & Assessor, and one of the driving forces behind P.R.I.S.O.N. Solid Ground Program built by ex-prisoners for ex-prisoners.

Their mission: to help people survive and rebuild in those critical first weeks after release and to stop the revolving door of crime and addiction!

Ariella Tassios

Alongside Dan is Ariella, a 32-year-old woman who has walked her own path through addiction, depression, and dependency. Through faith and purpose, she’s found healing and now serves as Court & Prison Liaison for P.R.I.S.O.N. Solid Ground while studying counselling to help others find freedom and hope.

Together, they’ll share raw truths, personal stories, and the reality of why jailing is failing and what’s actually working.
