Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) is a video game series and media franchise created by Scott Cawthon. The first video game was released on August 8, 2014, and the resultant series has since gained worldwide popularity.
The main series consists of nine video games taking place in locations connected to a fictional family pizza restaurant franchise named "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza", after its mascot, the animatronic bear Freddy Fazbear. In most games, the player assumes the role of a night-time employee, who must utilize tools such as security cameras, lights, doors, and vents to defend themselves against animatronic characters who inhabit the locations and become mobile and hostile at night. The series' lore is gradually revealed through voice recordings, minigames, and Easter eggs featured throughout the games.
The franchise also includes spin-off games and other media, such as a feature film adaptation, novel trilogy, and an anthology series, comprising an all-encompassing fictional universe. The franchise maintains an active fanbase, known for its production of fan art and fan games, and merchandise for the games is available internationally.
Source Filmmaker is a tool for animating, editing, and rendering 3D animated videos using assets from most games which use the Source engine, such as sounds, models, and, backdrops. SFM also allows for the creation of still images, art, and posters.
SFM contains three different user interfaces and a "work camera" for previewing an active scene. The three interfaces are used for creating clips, controlling animation, and making fine-tuned adjustments, which include:
The Clip Editor; for recording, editing, and arranging shots. They hold the user's recorded gameplay and virtual assets. It also allows the user to place and arrange sound files and video filters.
The Motion Editor; for motion adjustments over time such as blending two animations. Users can also use motion presets to select paths and manipulate different scene objects, play clips at different times, and puppeteer the characters in different positions and frames.
The Amazing Digital Circus is an independent animated web series created and directed by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. The series follows a group of humans who attempt to maintain their sanity after becoming trapped inside a circus-themed virtual reality game.
The series premiered on Glitch Productions' YouTube channel on October 13, 2023. It received critical acclaim for its animation, dark humor, and characters, and amassed over 300 million views, surpassing Hazbin Hotel's pilot as the most viewed independent animation pilot on the platform. The short also received an Annie Award nomination.
The second episode's premiere viewership achieved 30 million in a day, compared to the pilot episode that received 3 million over a three day period.
