Описание к видео OS Process States Explained: Lifecycle & Transitions | Process Management

An OS process state diagram is a graphical representation that shows the various states a process can be in during its lifecycle, along with the transitions between these states. The primary states typically included in such a diagram are New, Ready, Running, Waiting (or Blocked), and Terminated.

New to Ready: The process is created and ready to run.
Ready to Running: The scheduler selects the process for execution.
Running to Waiting: The process requires an event to complete (e.g., I/O).
Waiting to Ready: The event the process was waiting for has occurred.
Running to Ready: The process is preempted by the scheduler to allow another process to run.
Running to Terminated: The process finishes execution or is killed.
Ready to Terminated: The process is terminated due to an error before execution.
