We continue our guide to being an expat with a look at how expats tend to provide other expats with increasing about of bad information gathered from other expats, who did the same process, over and over without broad evaluation or course correction. This creates the expat feedback loop, a dangerous way to get information about moving abroad.

Most potential expats tend to turn to other expats as their main sources of information when looking to move abroad, but in reality, other expats often represent some of the worst sources of information about being an expat because they rarely have a good scope, range of experience and often followed the same processes of just asking someone else who also did little research.
