Sparks - B.C. (Not An Official Lyric Video)

This video for Sparks' B.C. began life back in July 2021 but I struggled with it, and it kept going through iterations but I still wasn't happy with what I had. It was also a touch too cute, and the song itself is really cute and catchy as it stands, but it's another dark Sparks track that I'm sure some of you probably aren't even aware of what it's really about (like Thanks But No Thanks).

I eventually decided to completely scratch what I had and found fresh footage. The father you will recognize from my Angst In My Pants video, and I have made him the same character (albeit a few years earlier before his world falls apart). There is an underlying darkness to this video, but I keep it all moving at a brisk pace and, hopefully, keep it fun, while making a statement at the same time I hope.

The editing was a bit of a bugger due to the speed of the song, plus there's also a fair bit of rotoscoping and purposeful use of colour and black and white. This is one of those songs for me that I hit the back button on four or five times in a row, as the song is over too quick. The lyrics I've handled completely differently to any other video I've done. Some will like it, others won't, but I hope you do all enjoy the video!
