As the country commemorates the NRM/A 37th Liberation, UBC’s Robert Onyango caught up with NRA bush war child soldier, Sergeant (SGT) Gitta Musoke-RA 54, 262 who has been in and out of prison over the last decade. He was abducted and forced to join NRA guerrillas as a child, fought Alice Lakwena’s Holy Spirit Movement, alongside RPA in Rwanda, and later in DR Congo.
In this exclusive interview he narrates his life in the bush and the post NRA bush war psychological trauma for attempting to speak the truth in the fight against corruption in the army that was characterized with the staffing of ghost soldiers on NRA later UPDF payroll.
