The five elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. They are often depicted in a circle, with each element flowing into the next in a cycle of creation and control.


The element of Fire is associated with transformation, passion, and creativity. It is the element of change and it helps us to transform our lives for the better. Fire energy is found in the sun, lightning and fire itself. It is also found in our bodies, in the form of our blood, breath and metabolism. The colors associated with Fire are red, orange and yellow. The emotions associated with Fire are transformation, passion and creativity. The organs associated with Fire are the heart and small intestine.
