Authentic Thai street food at the famous Mama Mia in Soi Silom 20

This little section of one of Silom's many "soi" (or alleys) is home to inexpensive, authentic Thai street food. It's a popular place for foreigners to visit and grab a late night meal. Seated at a metal table waiting for steaming hot plates of seafood or wok-fried favourites, you feel like a local in Bangkok.

The meal in this video, consisting of a decently sized Pad Thai, Tom Kha (Thai soup with coconut milk), and water was less than 14 AUD.

Mama Mia is a long-running street food brand that owns several of the stalls at the entrance of the street. The actual Mama is a smiling lady sitting at the front, watching over the operations. Her menu is extensive, and suits small dinners to big group hostel outings.
