Welcome to "Hurry Up and Wait! Short Army Stories", a fun, ten-part vlog series where Army Veteran David uses narration, animation and recreation to bring his short stories from his time in service to life!

David takes you from reception and Basic Combat Training to his deployment in the Iraq War with the First Calvary Division through humorous, short stories. In this final episode, David contrasts a day of combat simulation in basic training with a day multiple rockets hit while he was deployed to Camp Taji, Iraq. The fireworks in basic training were replaced with rockets in Iraq. And the lines "The rockets' red glare. The bombs bursting in air" suddenly became perfectly clear.

About David: Prior to joining he Army, David always knew he wanted to make videos and move to Los Angeles, but he was stuck in Iowa with no money or contacts. He joined the Army in 2005 to help with his transition from the cornfields to the film and TV industry. Now David looks back at his four years in the Army and shares some of his experiences in a fun way.
