This song is an invitation to give people space to be themselves — even when they believe differently, move differently, or choose another way. Atumbala challenges the habit of saying “no” to everything that feels unfamiliar, and instead encourages patience, listening, and dignity.

I wrote this song from personal experience, where constant resistance deeply affected me — and music became the place where pain could be transformed into understanding.

This performance was recorded live at the Room Service Festival in Wageningen, the Netherlands, with the Daniel Okiror Band, during our East Africa–Netherlands tour.

Our music carries rhythms and stories from East Africa (Kenya & Uganda), the Netherlands, and the Iteso cultural tradition, blending African roots with contemporary live band energy.
