Conscious Consumerism:

Listen, I am a BIG advocate of sales. 90% of what I own has either been bought second hand or on sale. That being said, sales can often lead to impulse purchases.

So, as we start to get bombarded with sales in the next month or so, let’s make sure we’re being conscious with our purchases.

One of my favourite tips (and I have this list year round) is to create a list of things I need, things I want and things I want but only if they hit certain specifications.

These could include:

🛍Paying something or a specific amount of something off before buying

🛒Only buying if you find it second hand

🧾Only buying if it’s on sale for a specific amount.

🤑Only buying if you also invest that equal amount at the same time.

😍The specifications you set can vary widely and the reason I love doing this is because it makes your purchases purposeful, intentional and aligned with other values or priorities in your life.
