I wanted to join Giant Adventure Tour de Taiwan but didn’t get their reply hence I have worked out my own Route but based on the same Starting & Ending point. This route is suitable for Solo or Group ride at an easy pace 20-25kmh & slower at climbs) taking into consideration the lower speed from carrying pannier bags & using flat bar bicycles.

Do refer to the video above for the actual Ride as I may have added or skip some of the places below and provided tips. And from there you can adjust the route to your own preference.

Special Thanks to Taiwanese citizen & people in Taiwan for their hospitality, support and accommodating me on the road & in person. To Taiwan Government & people who keep their dogs in check so then don’t chase after cyclist, for the good & safe roads; to convenience store for their strategic location (including DIY laundries), toilet & multiple payment method.

6.30 : Purchase Easy Card & Chunghwa SIM Card at Unite Traveler Counter
7.00 : Airport Line (Express) - Platform 2 to Taipei Main Station
7.50 : Taipei Main Station (Red: Tamsui-Xinyi Line Beitou) to Shilin
8.10 : Mathew Bike shop or any Bike Rental Shop in Taipei
10.30 : Depart from Mathew Bike or any Bike Rental Shop in Taipei
10.51 : Daodaocheng Wharf (7km: 21min)
11.00 : Bangka Longshan Temple (10km: 9min)
11.30 : Depart
12.30 : Sanxia Old Street (30km: 60min)
13.00 : Depart
13.42 : Daxi Old Street (44km: 42min) – Eat
14.30 : Daxi sightseeing
16.00 : Depart Daxi
18.18 : 皿富器食 (Japan: Dessert – Wed-Mon: 11am-4pm, 17.30-21.00) 90km: 2H 18m
19.15 : Baseball Boutique Inns or any Hotel in Hsinchu
20.00 : Chenghuang Temple Night Market (Food), Hsinchu City God Temple (Mon-Sun: 5am-10pm)
: Hsinchu Dongmen Market (Food), Zhongzhengtai Night Market (Cloth - Mon-Sun: 10am-10pm)
