In October 2020, my partner and I left our beloved hometown of Seattle, Washington and set out on a road trip through Mexico. Our intentions are to eventually end up in Argentina.

We are not backpackers, not van-lifers and not retired. We are digital nomads, living and working in one city at a time. After 10 months of planning and 11 days of driving, we arrived in La Paz, our first intended destination.

We lived in La Paz, Mexico for 112 days, and realized just how underrated the city is.

We weren't able to do much that was social or experience it in the same way as pre or post pandemic, because we were there in the heart of the covid lockdown. But the #1 reason for going to La Paz is the natural beauty. The Sea of Cortez is a body of water like no other in our region and its life and activity brings marine biologist from all over the world here to live and study.

If you are a person who is recharged by nature and prefers sand and water to cement and sounds of animals and nature over car horns and street vendors - this may just be your paradise.
