We're going to compare OptiMonk and Optin Monster.

It's actually a tough one because both are very solid pop-up providers, but each is better for a specific type of site.

There are three main points of distinction,

and the third is probably the most important.

First is price. Optin Monster is cheaper, but they only offer annual plans that are paid up upfront.

So comparing a hundred K page view plan from Optin Monster, it's about 50 bucks versus Optimonk at 80, but with Optimonk, you can actually go month to month.

Optum Monk has a limited free plan, so you can at least play first.

Third Optin Monster started serving the WordPress community only, and that's really where their strength lies with the blogger community.

Because of that, some, legacy feature sets are still there, and they're more relevant to bloggers, like being able to protect content with Opt-ins.

On the other hand, OptiMonk mainly serves the Shopify community.

It's a software we currently use for our e-commerce site and for our clients. It feels like OptiMonk has a deeper integration with Shopify.

Things like coupon creation, native product recommendations from Shopify, and also NPS campaigns that Optin Monster just doesn't have.

So overall, both solid, but if you have a WordPress site, go with Optin Monster.

If you have an e-commerce site on Shopify, go with OptiMonk.
