Nokia's (NYSE:NOK) CEO Stephen Elop's first major decision to continue with a go-it-alone strategy for operating systems, instead of adopting Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android, could prove to be the most critical in the company's future, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

The company is feeling pressure to explain how its MeeGo operating system will enable Nokia to reverse its dwindling share in some of its biggest markets, and the U.S., as Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google continue to gain market share.

Nokia has a potential upside of 15.2% based on a current price of $10.16 and an average consensus analyst price target of $11.7.

Nokia should find initial resistance at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $10.44 and further resistance at its 200-day MA of $11.12.

In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has climbed 1.31% while the 200-day MA has slid 0.76%.
