How to Make Bone Broth (Turkey Stock) from The Mandalorian | CCC Cuisine - Ep 12

What do you do with leftover Thanksgiving turkey? You make Baby Yoda's favorite (besides cookies), Bone Broth!

Ingredients

leftover turkey (or chicken) carcass (bones, skin, etc)
Vegetable scraps (leftover bits from carrots, onions, celery etc)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
water



in a slow cooker or large heavy bottom pot place carcass and vegetables

cover with water
add apple cider vinegar


If using a stock pot:
Bring to a boil

turn down to a simmer
let simmer for 8 hours



if using a slow cooker:
set to high and leave for 8 hours
set to low and let sit for an additional 8 hours




using a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth, drain contents into another large vessel



use as a base stock right away, drink it as is (maybe season it a little) or put in freezer safe containers and stick it in your freezer. You can also pour into ice cube trays, freeze and then remove and place them in a freezer bag for smaller portion use use instead of water in recipes for a heartier flavor and body
