The Queen Who Saved Her Husband's Kingdom? | Eleanor of Provence

Eleanor of Provence is best known for some fairly horrible facts about her life, and over the centuries, this has shaped interpretations about her entire character. However, despite her shortcomings, Eleanor was also a model for queenship going forwards from her time, an example of equally shared royal duty, and importantly, she used her skills to save her husband and his kingdom during a rebellion.
