On the morning of April 4, 2023 forecasting models had many disagreements and misplaced many ingredients as well as the timing of said ingredients arrival. I chose a general area to target so that I had quick access to all the areas each of the models were pointing at for storm initiation. I ended up on this storm near Macomb Illinois and tried to get in close position so I had a great view of the storm when it dropped a tornado, instead I dared a little too close into the core of the storm and it started to dump hail on me. If I hadn't made the decision to try to get on the other side of the core before being out of the core's way I most likely would have seen the tornadoes this storm produced. Instead this is now going to be a learnign curb for me
