In this episode, we’re kicking off a brand-new AI Camera Instruction Test series, starting with Test One: the 360° Orbit.

The 360-degree orbit is one of the best ways to evaluate whether an AI video tool can truly understand and execute complex camera instructions. It pushes the model’s ability to maintain spatial consistency, stable geometry, accurate motion parallax, and realistic reflections while the camera moves continuously around a subject.

For this test, we used the same cyberpunk car reference image and the exact same prompt across multiple AI video tools. Each tool generates two videos, and based on their overall performance, we assign them to one of five different tiers, ranging from F to S-tier.

We’re not just looking for smooth rotation — we’re watching closely for background warping, object distortion, broken reflections, and perspective errors that can break the illusion.

This is only the first test. More camera challenges like cinematic rack focus, over-the-shoulder dialogue, high-speed FPV dives, and dolly zoom (Vertigo effect) are coming next.
