Schizophrenia is a severe mental health disorder characterised by delusions and hallucinations, played a critical role in this tragic incident. Over the years, she had exhibited symptoms such as imagining threats and accusations

Reportedly, Pallavi had expressed fears to her family members, claiming that her husband was holding a gun and threatening her life. Former DGP's son, Kartikesh, claimed that he suspected his mother behind the murder

Kartikesh, Son of former DGP said in complaint "My mother, Mrs. Pallavi, and my sister, Kruthi, have been suffering from depression and used to fight with my father frequently. I strongly suspect that they are involved in the murder of my father. My mother, Mrs. Pallavi, had been threatening to kill my father, Mr. Omprakash (Retired DGP and IGP), for the past week. Due to these threats, my father had gone to stay at the residence of his sister," Ms. Saritha Kumari"

Meanwhile, The police are continuing their investigation, Pallavi and their daughter Kriti have been taken into custody for questioning
