Did you know:
❗️Badgers are the UK's only protected large land mammal
❗️They are omnivorous
❗️They play a vital role in boosting biodiversity
❗️An estimated 50,000 badgers are killed on our roads
❗️The government-backed cull has seen more than 200,000 killed

We don’t always see, or appreciate, the role our different wildlife species play in our day-to-day lives. Badgers, for example, help boost our quality of life, just by going about their daily buisness. Whether they’re supporting plant communities, through soil disturbance, dispersing seeds, or building setts that help shelter a range of other animals, they are a fundamental part of nature’s ever-connected ecosystem. So, let's show them the love they deserve, today, and celebrate all things badger🦡!
