Top 5 Smartest Animals

All animals have the ability to think and make decisions, but some are extremely intelligent. Let’s jump in to my personal top 5 smartest animals.

Number 5 - Crow

Crows have an extreme ability to learn from their surroundings. When a crow is attacked by an animal or human, the crow remembers exactly what the face looks like and never forgets. Crows also have a complex communication system with each other which helps them to find food, share knowledge and assign jobs to each other.

Number 4 - Elephant

Elephants are considered very smart creatures due to their ability to care and show empathy towards other elephants. Elephants comfort one another with physical touch which is a sign of great intelligence. Elephants also entertain each other by wrestling and spraying water. This can also be seen as a performance for the other elephants.

Number 3 - Orangutang

Orangutang aren’t too different from you and me you know! Orangutang are thought to be so intelligent due to their extreme memory. It is thought that orangutang often communicate with each other about events that happened earlier in the day, much like a conversation. Thats amazing

Number 2 - Dolphins

Dolphins can almost always be found in groups because they are very social creatures. Dolphins can talk to each other and are thought to have a very wide vocabulary. Dolphins have been found to give each other names and even greet each other when they meet.

Number 1 - Chimpanzees

Chimps are widely agreed to be the smartest animal on earth apart from humans. Chimps have the ability to communicate with each other on very complex levels which allow to them to form strong family bonds. Chimps are also a have a great awareness of the importance of keeping clean and chimps are often found grooming other members of their family.
