MUKTESHWAR DHAM PATHANKOT

MUKTESHWAR Mahadev Pathankot is located at banks of Ravi River in Pathankot District. At the time it was a very nicely administrated place, but due to a dam it was about to drown in waters of the dam. Mandir Bachao Sangarsh Committee done a marvelous job, did hunger strikes, various strikes and agitation so that this place can be protected.
At last Administration listened the voice of people and this temple was to protected from the waters of the dam.
According to locals, it is the place where Panch Pandwa lived during their exile. It is the place where Yudhishthra ji Did a pooja of Lord Shiva for a win on Kaurvas. The Holy Shivling Eastablished here is eastablished by Yudhishthra ji.
