Living the Kyoto dream in Japan

In this episode, we journey from Shiga to Kyoto, exploring charming cafés and indulging in a bit of window shopping before bidding farewell to Ben and Demas. But don’t worry—we’ll reunite with them in a few days in Osaka!

I stopped by my favourite clothing store in Japan, Bemas, and, of course, couldn’t resist checking out Snow Peak, The North Face, and more. One highlight was visiting ‪@kuoekyoto1438‬ a Japanese micro-watch brand born right here in Kyoto. It was amazing to see their pieces in person, try on every model, and finally make my decision. Spoiler: I’ll be back at Kuoe on Thursday!

The Maple Bacon donut at Koe Donut? Absolute fire.

And finally… I fulfilled a long-time wish to ride a bike in Kyoto. Cycling along the Kamo River was nothing short of magical—one of the most memorable experiences of my trip. The sunset was breathtaking, and dinner at a local sushi bar was simply fantastic. Of course, no day in Japan is complete without a trip to the combini, where I made my own DIY Famichiki burger. Unforgettable moments all around!
