On Tuesday 19th January 2016 the official opening of the Dairy Research and Education Facility took place at UCD Lyons Research Farm.

The project has been spearheaded by UCD and supported by leaders in the agri-food industry such as Dairymaster, Devenish Nutrition, FBD, Glanbia, the Irish Holstein Friesian Association, Munster Cattle Breeding Group and Progressive Genetics.
