Описание к видео A Review of Woodblock Print Books

Part of the woodblock print collecting journey is finding great books on the artists and series you are interested in. I thought I’d show you some of the books I use for research and just general enjoyment of Ukiyo-e art. The books include: "Japanese Woodblock Prints", by Andreas Marks, "Japanese Woodblock Prints, 40th Edition", published by Taschen, "Hizakurige" or "Shanks’ Mare" by Jippensha Ikku, "Kunisada’s Tokaido, Tokaido Riddles in Japanese Woodblock Prints", "Tokaido Texts and Tales", "Time Present and Time Past: Images of a Forgotten Master" by Amy Reigle Newland, "Hiroshige’s Woodblock Prints", by Edward Strange, “Hiroshige: 100 Famous Views of Edo”, "Van Gogh and Japan”, “Kuniyoshi and Kunisada”, "Hokusai - 100 views of Mount Fuji", and "Hokusai Beyond the Great Wave". Join me as I do a quick review of these amazing books about Japanese woodblock print artists.
