Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called the Union Budget 2026 an injustice to his state, saying Karnataka had expected relief but received none. He added that the entire South India seems ignored by the Union Government. Earlier, Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin described the budget as a “total disappointment,” citing cuts in key schemes, denial of crucial funds, and no increase in states’ tax share. South India’s leaders are now pushing back against the Centre’s allocations.
