If you’ve ever tried to comb out a nest in your toddler’s hair, you know that “baby bed head” is definitely a thing. Sleeping on silk goes a long way toward taming tangles (and the resulting tears!). Why? The charmeuse weave of our pure silk pillowcase is soft and virtually friction free; your toddler’s hair glides across the surface without gathering knots or tangles. A cotton pillowcase–even one that is super soft–contains tiny fibers that tug and snag at hair, leading to unpleasant knots and snarls.

At the same time, the fibers of protein-based silk (which actually resemble human hair) keep your toddler’s hair well moisturized. When it comes to kids, low-maintenance is the way to go. We recommend a detergent made for cleaning and protecting natural fibers like Heritage Park Silk and Wool Detergent and placing silk items in a fine mesh laundry bag.
